This weeks happenings included a wonderful performance of a marching-dancing band called the Perugia Funking Band at Corciano's Cioccolatto e Pane Borg. We also were able to take photos for one of the family members of the villa. Rosella Vasta is a local artist and daughter of our villa parents. She has been working on a project called Table of Silence for the past few years. The project began as a ceramic dishes line and then grew into a dance performance. The performance was done at the Lincoln Center in New York on September 11th. It is a very powerful performance, more so in person. I was able to take photos of the dancers in practice as well as at the performance (those photos will be up later).

Villa Pieve and Euro Chocolate Fest
We have arrived at the villa where we will be for the next 6 weeks or so. We are surrounded by vineyards and a wonderful rolling landscape. Enjoy...
One of our neighbor vineyards
The vineyards and the local gravel pit
Above is an example of the tropicale fiori that we found up the hill from our villa. A local man came out to explain that it was a 'tropicale fiori' and we didn't understand much more than that. So here is what Americans call a passion flower.
This cappuccino comes from our local kiss kiss bar, a great place to enjoy company... and purchase bus tickets.

Chocolate Kebab! Appetizing to the eye, and very heavy to the stomach... but delicious all the same!

Fierenze
Fierenze was a wonderful city with a million things to see. Unfortunately for photographers many of the the things that would be most fun to photograph are off limits. I was able to capture a bit of the Santa Maria Di Fiori and Brunaleschi's duomo.

In Fierenze there was a carousel that we decided to ride. It was fun picture opportunity!
This last picture is of the wild boar in a piazza in Fierenze. Apparently if you pet the boar you will have good luck and are destined to return to Fierenze for some reason.
