Music Video Inspiration

In preparation for the videos I have to work on I thought I'd search for some good videos to take some ideas from/ be inspired by.
The first video I found was the piano staircase. This video is great because it captures all aspects of what happened. It also caught important moments of climax with people's reactions to the staircase. In addition to some great footage there is appropriate music for the background.

The next video is a great music video. It's not that the song is epic or that the video is anything mind blowing, but it is creative. The lyrics are placed throughout the entire song. Many times I find myself watching music videos or listening to songs and really wishing that I had the lyrics. For this song the lyrics aren't just written across the bottom of the screen they are integrated into the video. I think it's a great idea.

This music video is pretty stereotypical of most music videos. It does show a good example of editing between the telling of a story and the artist singing. There are also some creative angles and good lighting shots.

Finally, I chose a music video by Ok go. They are great at adding creative elements to make fun music videos. They don't really tell the stories that other music videos do. But their videos are more about the experience. I appreciate the very creative elements added to their videos. They also have some constant elements added to their videos and this is the color that each band member is dressed in. For the most part they keep this aspect similar throughout their videos. Among chaos there is stability, it helps make the video work.
