Heading to Africa with Hope 2 One Life

Tomorrow begins a journey of a lifetime. It has been in the works for many years and I can't believe it is actually coming to pass now. Here is the tale of how it all began...
About 8 years ago while I was at a youth retreat in high school we were watching a slide show about missions. There were many many different slides all up on the screen for about 5-10 seconds a piece. Well when I looked up and saw Uganda I immediately knew that I was supposed to go there. The next year I spent trying to figure out what I was supposed to be doing and who I was supposed to go with. Well time came and went and I wasn't able to get to Uganda. I never lost the feeling that I needed to go to Uganda, I just realized that if it was supposed to happen it would happen in time. When I went to college a few years later I met my friend Kenny. I asked him where he was from and he said 'Uganda'. Throughout our college days I would always tell him that someday I was going to go and visit his hometown. He would smile and nod, seemingly as if he didn't believe me. During my first senior year in college my aunt heard my tales of wanting to go to Uganda and she asked if I new Nadine Hart. I told her that I had not heard of her. Little did I know this one conversation was the snowflake that lead to the snowball of getting me to Africa.
The short of it is... Nadine worked with my uncle at the hospital. She just so happened to be a leader of numerous trips to Uganda. They were mostly medical missions and well building missions. A year after my aunt and I talked about Nadine I finally met her and asked if I could come with her to Africa and be her shadow so that some day I might be able to lead some people over as well. She was more than willing and now tomorrow I am taking my first trip to Uganda. Sometimes God works in mysterious ways... It's taken eight or so years for this trip to come about, and there is no doubt in my mind that the timing is perfect and I am precisely where God wants me to be.
I appreciate everyone's thoughts and prayers as me and our group take this trip to help out as much as we can! I'll try and keep posting as often as possible with updates from each stop.
