We made it here to Entebbe, Uganda safely. Today was spent in Kampala changing money and getting water for the crew. We saw many of the national bird the Crested Crane as well as a few herds of long horn cattle. The name escapes me now. It's been a really great experience. We are acclimating to Ugandan time, it works out really well when you don't have a watch and you kind of just go with the flow.
Tomorrow is an exciting day. For the first time in a few years (I guess) we are taking a trip to one of the islands on Lake Victoria for an island mission. Ranae tells me that her and I get to weigh babbies and help with the clinic. There are many different health issues that various islands are dealing with. The group that leads these island missions travels between about 60 different islands every Friday. I am sure it is going to be a great experience.
We have a couple more days here in Entebbe then we head down to the farm where we start our main projects.
Oh we have also met up with new friends and old friends. I got to meet Kenny's older brother Prichard. And we met up again with Roger who had run into an issue with his visa and has been hanging out here until that gets sorted out. He is always a bright and cheery face to see.
Until next time ;)
